SilkRoad Equity is a private investment firm based in Chicago, with interests in a diversified portfolio of public and private companies. Co-founded by Andrew “Flip” Filipowski and Matthew Roszak in 2003, SilkRoad Equity invests its own capital in companies with strong market positions, recognized brands and enormous growth potential.Our investments are centered around growth – growth achieved through acquisition, organic growth and/or through our universe of resources and relationships. SilkRoad Equity enables businesses to reach new levels of performance and success.
We invest in a wide range of opportunities – from start-ups to buy-outs, buy-ins, build-ups, spin-offs, privatizations and industry consolidations, focusing on those with high growth potential and strong management teams. Over the past 20 years, we have invested in and acquired over 200 companies worldwide, comprising of over $5 billion of transaction value.

We do not acquire businesses with a predefined exit strategy or investment time horizon. We are happy to own and manage businesses for 20+ years.
