Matthew Roszak
Co-Founder & Vice Chairman

Mr. Roszak is co-founder, vice chairman and president of SilkRoad Equity, a global private investment firm. Mr. Roszak has spent over 18 years in private equity and venture capital and invested in excess of $1 billion of capital in a broad range of industries, with experience in executing a broad scope of transactions including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; corporate and transactional financing, including private equity, venture capital, mezzanine and conventional financings; public offerings, private placements and financial restructurings.

Mr. Roszak is a co-founder of SilkRoad technology, a leading cloud-based human capital management software company, and served as its CFO for its first five years of operation. Mr. Roszak successfully raised over $135 million of equity for SilkRoad technology from prominent venture capital investors, including Intel Capital, Foundation Capital and Azure Capital, amongst others. Mr. Roszak also led the acquisition of and founding investment in InterAct911, a leading provider of public safety software solutions for state, local and federal governments worldwide. InterAct911 has raised over $115 million of equity to fund its growth from leading venture capital investors including Foundation Capital, Bay Partners and Shea Ventures. Mr. Roszak also serves as co-founder, vice chairman and president of SilkRoad Realty Capital, a real estate investment and management company.

Previously, Mr. Roszak was a principal with Advent International in London. Advent International is one of the world's largest and most successful private equity firms with over $20 billion of capital under management. Before joining Advent International, Mr. Roszak spent five years with Keystone Capital Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm. Prior to its sale to DirectTV (Nasdaq: DTV), Mr. Roszak served on the board of directors of 180 Connect (TSX: CNCT) for five years, and was chairman of the audit and compensation committees and a member of the corporate governance committee.

Mr. Roszak is a member of the National Venture Capital Association and the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Roszak is a beneficial owner and director of various companies, including: Barefoot Landing, InterAct911, MissionMode, Onramp Branding, Pendulab, SilkRoad technology, SilkRoad Realty Capital, SolidSpace and TrueLook. Mr. Roszak earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Lake Forest College.
